With the goal to bridge digital skills gap to drive inclusion, FinTech training platform 10×1000 Tech for Inclusion (“10×1000”) today launched its latest global program—FinTech Foundation Program Flex, an online certificate program providing practitioners with the mindset, knowledge, and skills to become drivers of digital economic growth. Singapore FinTech Association (“SFA”) will partner with 10×1000 to recruit 100 Flex learners locally to embark on the program in October. SG FinTech Club members can apply for the Flex program through SFA.

“Backed by a dynamic FinTech ecosystem and a strong talent pool, Singapore has been one of leading countries for FinTech activity in APAC and globally. The rapid shift towards digital adoption is expected to further accelerate the growth and innovation in the space”, said Shadab Taiyabi, President at SFA. “With 90% of FinTech companies in Singapore planning to grow their workforce over the next 12 months, continuous education, mentorship and training opportunities are critical to bridging the demand for talents. We are excited to work closely with 10×1000, and the collaboration marks another milestone in SFA’s ongoing efforts of forging industry partnerships to provide local professionals with the opportunity to further build their expertise to stay relevant and competitive”.

“We are delighted to join hands with the Singapore FinTech Association to bring the 10×1000 training platform to learners worldwide as we seek innovative approaches to meeting a common goal of bridging the digital skills gap”, said Eric Jing, Chairman and CEO at Ant Group, owner and operator of digital payments platform Alipay. “I am excited that learners from 10×1000’s new Flex program will gain the FinTech knowledge that they need to support their communities, and help bring us closer to meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals”.

The partnership with SFA is part of 10×1000’s ongoing effort to deepen its collaborations with partners worldwide. Globally, 10×1000 has also forged partnerships with the IFC, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, UN World Food Programme, SME Finance Forum Managed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Dubai International Financial Centre, MDEC, KPMG and FinTech associations from Hong Kong, Malaysia, MENA, the Philippines and Thailand to recruit Flex learners.
